Pressure Converter
CONVERSION CALCULATOR
Convert pressure between pascals, kilopascals, megapascals, bar, standard atmospheres, psi, torr, millimeters of mercury, and inches of mercury.

Conversion rateCalculating…
How it works
The source pressure is first converted to pascals, the SI unit, then converted from pascals to the selected destination unit.
Conversion formula
Converted pressure = entered pressure × source factor in Pa ÷ destination factor in Pa.
Worked example
32 psi is approximately 220.632 kilopascals.
Important limits
- Gauge pressure and absolute pressure use different zero points; this tool only converts numerical magnitudes.
- Torr and mmHg are extremely close but not identical under modern definitions.
- Temperature and local conditions can matter when pressure is inferred from fluid columns.
Frequently asked questions
How many kPa are in one psi?
One psi is approximately 6.894757 kilopascals.
Is bar the same as atmosphere?
No. One bar is 100,000 Pa, while one standard atmosphere is 101,325 Pa.
Review notes
Factors follow SI pascals and conventional definitions for standard atmosphere, bar, psi, torr, and mercury-column units. Last reviewed September 30, 2026.
