Subscription Cost Calculator
Project the total and average monthly cost of a subscription with an assumed annual price increase.
How to use this calculator
- Measure the project or enter costs from a current quote or product label.
- Adjust the quantities, coverage, package size, and allowances to match your situation.
- Select Calculate, then check the method, worked example, and limitations below.
Formula and method
For each year, add 12 × starting monthly fee × (1 + annual increase) raised to the year index; add setup fee. Divide by 12 × years for the average.
Whole packages and pieces are rounded up. Results disappear when an input changes until the new values are calculated.
Worked example
Current monthly fee 15 $; Annual increase 4 %; Years 5 years; One-time setup fee 20 $. Results: Total projected cost $994.94; Average monthly cost $16.58.
The example uses the values initially displayed in the fields.
