Pet Sitting Cost Calculator
Estimate the total cost of in-home pet sitting from visits per day, trip length, price per visit and flat surcharges.
How to use this calculator
- Replace every example value with your own measurements, label values or planning assumptions.
- Keep each value in the unit printed beside its field.
- Select Calculate, then compare the result with the formula and limitations below.
Formula and method
Total visits = visits per day × days. Estimated total = total visits × price per visit + flat surcharges. Average per day = total ÷ days.
Results are hidden whenever an input changes or validation fails, so an older answer cannot be mistaken for the current calculation.
Worked example
Visits per day = 2 visits; Number of days = 5 days; Price per visit = 25 $/visit; Flat surcharges = 20 $. The calculator returns Estimated total = 270; Average per day = 54; Total visits = 10 visits.
The worked example uses the same default values displayed in the calculator.

What should I enter first?
Start with measurements or rates from the project, product label, service quote or equipment specification. Replace every example value before relying on the estimate.
Why can the real result differ?
Quotes may add holiday, mileage, medication, extra-pet, overnight, tax or cancellation charges. Confirm credentials, insurance, emergency contacts and the written service agreement.
Does the calculator round purchases up?
Only outputs labeled as whole packages, vents, heaters, pails or similar counts are rounded up. Keep extra precision for planning and follow supplier packaging.
